SUPER MARIO 64 TRICKS

"Red-Capped Mario Can Move!" (Hazy Maze Cave)

This trick will be a little difficult, so be patient! When you're on the litle peice of land with the gate and door leading to the star "Metal-Head Mario Can Move!", jump off the part of the land facing the middle island and try to butt-stomp on the button.

Box Stomp (Wing Cap secret course)

On the Wing Cap level, fly (or walk) to the Wing Cap box, get a wing cap, and jump as high as you can. Then fly in a large circle, you should see the Wing Cap box (if you don't, then wait for it to appear), then butt-stomp through the box, get the wing cap, then do it again! My record is 6 times. It's more difficult if you keep the wing box off the screen the whole time.

Slide on nothing! (Wing Cap secret course)

With the initial wing cap (or any other), fly down as fast as you can. When the black circle starts to close, you will see Mario start to slide on something.

Bridge? I don't see no bridge! (Bomb-Omb's Battlefield)

Get under the bridge to the lower and upper parts in the first part in the level, then walk to the lowest point where the bridge connects to the little hill, then jump under the bridge so you're hanging on to it, then release A. If you're low enough, mario will get pulled through as though it wasn't there (although if it wasn't, he'll still be hanging on)!

Tilting Crawl (Any level with stair-like geometry)

The easiest place to do this is in the castle. Approach the geometry while crawling at any angle you wish (for more dramatism, try sideways). When you hit the geometry, Mario should tilt so as to imitate the geometry as if it were a flat plane. This is eisier to see outside the castle, on the bridge. Approach the little wall (in the middle of the bridge) at a 20 degree angle (to parallel), when Mario hits it, he should tilt.

Sliding up the stairs (Any level that has stairs)

Run at the stairs and press Z to crouch and slide. DO NOT RUN DIRECTLY AT THE STAIRS! Mario should slide up them as he would a slope. Also is close to Tilting Crawl above.
